I'm a natural redhead that is slowly going gray. I used to hate my red hair, but now I want to keep it as long as possible. I have long natural curly hair and amber colored eyes. I got married at the age of 18 and will celebrate my 30th anniversary in April of 2008. I like to walk at least 4-5 days a week. On a typical day, I walk 3-4 miles, usually getting in at least 15-20 miles of walking a week. Walking helps to clear my mind and maintain my weight. I'm interested in health related topics, especially hypothyroidism. I try to help others with this conditions whenever I can. Far too many doctors don't know how to treat the condition so that the person is symptom free. I found the old method using natural thyroid hormones that has been around for 100+ years is the best method of treatment. I am on Armour thyroid for my underactive thyroid and I'd never go back to the synthetic medications. What I found weird about hypothyroidism, is that redheads are more prone to developing the condition. That's one downside of being a redhead, so if you experience symptoms like weight gain, fatigue, hairloss, depression, constipation, and muscle and joint aches....get your thyroid tested. I have 1 grown married daughter and 1 grandson who live about 90 minutes away. I love old cars, as well as some new cars. My current old car is a 1971 Chevelle Malibu, which we have owned since 1984. It used to be lime green, but now its red. Some day I hope to own a 1968 Dodge Charger. In 2004, I got my grandmothers car when she passed on in 2004....a 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0. My grandmother loved this car, probably because most people were shocked an elderly women was driving it. She'd kill me for saying elderly, but how else do you describe a women in her 90's. Some day I'd like to have it repainted, so it looks like new again. I'm on the shy side in person, but once I get to know people I am far from shy. I am the person who always listens without judging....always trying to help. Photos - Believe it or not the photo of my daughter was taken when she was 25. She is 29 now and still looks very young. The dragonfly is a painting she did for me. She is a freelance artist. I'll eventually put a recent photo of myself up when I actually feel OK about a photo. I hate having my photo taken, which results in no decent photos.

honest and caring people,

rude people, spam, liars, telemarketers, inconsiderate people,

walking, flea markets, classic cars, bird watching, dragonflies, helping others with hypothyroidism

Yes, please, because I don't even know what that is!

Is it for pain? Or for inflammation?

Thanks for thinking of me, Donna.

Hope you have a great day

Thanks for the good luck on the insurance, Donna.

I can't even afford the pelvic until then! So who knows what they'll do (if anything) when it comes to the fibroid and the cyst.

Well, I can't worry about it right now, I have too much other stuff.

And the weight loss..well, I'm always 'trying' but I wasn't really trying this time, so it was a cool surprise. I thought I felt different!

Hope you are having a great evening! Give the Shelbyville a scritch for me! She's SO gorgeous!

the dr wants  me to lose about 150.it should take a little over a year.  It was exciting, I hadn't lost that much at once-ever. I go back in a month.

I am doing good.  I am still in pain but I got my staples and my drain tube out yesterday and I lost 21 lbs....all in 10 days.  I am still tired but my spirits are good.  thanks for the concern.

My grandmother was the first person that was really close to me that passed on too. She is buried in Omaha about 90 miles away, so I don't get to go visit her grave as often as I like, but I still try to make it down there at least 2x a year.

I just spent the last 2 hours making out christmas cards. Now I have to go buy all the stamps to mail them off.

I know that this sounds really strange, but whenever I am going through a hard time in my life, I "feel" a hand on my shoulder. I believe this to be my grandmother guiding me in the right direction. She was just like a mother to me and I miss her terrible! She passed on 7 1/2 years ago.

I also have some intuition to other things. I think I have a hard time telling people this because I don't want then to think that I am weird or crazy. Some people just don't believe because they have not had experiences to change there mind.

I bet that in the 15 minutes that she rang the bell, they got more money in the pot than they did the rest of the day. I saw people putting in $20 and I told her afterwards that alot of families were going to be thankfu for her for caring enough to do that.

She was really proud of that! Afterward we went to a store in the area where they except new toys and we bought one and put it in the bin.

At least you can say now that you looked and you know that this lady has NO idea what she is talking about! I do believe there are people out there that are pyschic, but some claim to be and aren't!

This is actually a movie that came out in 2005. I bought the DVD at target very cheap the day after thanksgiving. I loved this movie. If you get the chance watch it sometime!

How did you shopping go?

Well I have learned that needing and wanting are two totally differenet things. Most times I don't get anything I want, unless I really have the extra cash. I hardly ever buy for myself, its always something that the kids want or something like that. I splurge now and then and buy a book for myself. Today I had to go return some snow boots that I bought for my kids so I bought myself a hooded sweatshirt, (that was actually a NEED)

I'mthankful that you are safe after the storm. I just heard that we could get up to 4 inches of snow, so not bad really, and no ice so that is good!
