Never-fail scalloped tators
enough sliced tators to fill a 9x13 cassorole dish
6 tbsp of onion diced
6 cups of milk
6 tbsp butter
6 tbsp cornstarch
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups of diced ham
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
Mix the potatoes ham and onion. Place in the greased casserole dish. Make the sauce by combining milk, butter and cornstarch(mix the cornstarch separte with water just so its not a paste) Cook until thickened and smooth. I cook it on medium and you have to watch and stir very frequently so the milk doesn't scorch. Pour over the tators. bake on 350 for 90 minutes on covered
During the last 10 minutes of baking add the cheese on the top.
