Large-breasted women targeted!
Posted On 08/27/2008 10:03:09 by vl13601
To all my well-endowed sisters----go bra-less if you plan to fly! Some woman in the Oakland Airport set off the metal detector with her underwire bra. They wanted her to submit to a "pat-down" which included a female security officer touching her breasts. She refused, citing her constitutional rights against illegal search and seizure. She offered to take off her bra in private and go through metal detection again. What do you think? is this a new form of "profiling"? Discrimination against the large-breasted?

Everyone---my tongue was firmly in cheek with the statement about profiling....................I'm not suggesting it is really discrimination,I was having fun with the topic........................

Um, yeah, I set off the metal detector when I flew to Boston in July - it DOES happen. They wanded me and the intelligent security lady knew immediately that it was my underwire.

Profiling?  No.  Discrimination? No. Over-doing security?  Yes, a bit.  But sh!t happens....

Well I wear nothing but underwire bras, so I guess I would have to wear a sports bra when I was going to fly. Not a big deal.

I don't need to worry about this situation.  Not a big breasted woman.  AAAAHHHHHH, too much information.  LOL

I have now heard they are selling PLASTIC underwire bras since the wire tends to set off metal detectors. Shop carefully......................
Phil,I am not sure who originally stopped her,but she was told to submit to a strip-search by a female guard or not fly..........they compromised when she removed her bra in private and went through the detector again. Finally, I am not sure everyone appreciated the tongue in cheek quality to my post.............................

You don't have to be big-breasted to wear an underwire bra...they come in all sizes and is simply a matter of comfort, so nothing to do with breast size..!!!  Some women get a bit too stuffy about this whole thing...the security woman is only doing her job and you don't need to touch someone's breasts to check if they're wearing an underwire bra...!!  Chill out ladies..!

So was this a male security guard stopping her? just asking.
