So as some of you know, I'm having dealings with a lawyer for financial matters, and today was the day I had to once again traverse the state (ok, ok, only really go up north a bit, next door to Mile High stadium (I refuse to use the "I" term, it is to me and always will be "Mile High), and since I was scared of the highway (cuz of the DNC and periodic closures and HELLA traffic, doncha know) I alternate-routed myself and wow.
Wow.
It was really freaking hot and it took really freaking long and now I know why people are always getting hit on Federal Boulevard; it's like the land of the jaywalker (and we're talking a pretty major road, peeps).
Anyhoo, got the review done, came home and took an online course which is a requirement of this thing that I seem to be loathe to name, and then gathered a few more things for yon litigious dude, then...well...I've been vegging, mostly.
I did finish "The Hellfire Club" by Peter Straub. Pretty good book, actually, very twisty and turny. I found it sufficiently compelling.
I embark upon Hannibal, now.
Yes, and so...that's about it, I guess. Except Zoey continues to crack me up. I don't understand her. She has the same quirk as the beloved Psyche (RIP) had: very much a love, adores being petted, very sweet, but as soon as you pick her up, you're the enemy. She kicks, for reals.
It's funny.
So...yeah.
