Poetry Challenge: Turn of Phrase
Posted On 06/27/2008 04:42:45 by Juless
The most beauteous and talented and LOVELY Mango (aka Ivorytubs) turned quite a phrase on my ass (and the rest of me) awhile ago, and I've just secured his permission to make it a poetry challenge.

The phrase he turned, which YOU are now charged to run with, is:

"She hides in mirrors."

Free form, as many words as you like, just use that phrase, and use what that means to you as the theme.

Write on, Sapiens!

She hides in mirrors

Clue-less and naive

She thinks of her reflection

To be what others conceive

In mirrors she hides

Her reflection inside

The mirror image she see's

Her mind cannot please

She closes her eye's

And the mirror inside

Is the one she's kept hidden

From all others eyes

She hides in mirrors, she hides from the light.
She hides in my mind, and gone from my sight.

Blah, I'm too tired to be poetic lol.
