YUCK A MUCK
Posted On 04/24/2008 16:46:06 by ILUVDAWORM

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can ranch-style beans
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sliced potatoes, drained
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (I HAVE NEVER USED THIS INGREDIENT)
  • INSTEAD FOR MEXICAN STYLE I ADDED ROTEL CHILES AND TOMATOES AND PACE PICANTE SAUCE

FOR ITALIAN STYLE I ADDED ITALIAN TOMATOES AND SPAGHETTI SAUCE
AND SERVED WITHE BUTTERED GARLIC BREAD

DO NOT PUT THE TOMATOES IN THE INGREDIENT LIST IF YOU ADD THE INGREDIENTS AT THE BOTTOM
DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brown hamburger in a large frying pan. Stir in chopped onions, green peppers and garlic. Saute until soft. Stir in tomatoes, beans, corn and potatoes.
  2. Season with Worcestershire sauce and serve.
  3. This is just the basic recipe, and then with additions of seasonings you can have almost any style (Italian, Mexican, etc) meal you want! Our favorite is Cowboy style, with just a little Worcestershire sauce.

WAYYYYYY back in the dark ages when I was in 4H, I made this for a fair once. Not exactly but very similar.

It was called, at that time and in that place, "Beef Corn Dandy," and now I must go drown under waves of nostalgia.
