 The Mister and the minions have gone on a road trip to visit the in laws. I could not go due to having to work this weekend.

 The equally unsettling and delightful aspect of all this? This will be the first time I have spent more than an hour or two completely alone in more than 7 years.

 I hardly know what to do with myself.

It was a lovely, decadent weekend, really. I worked, slept in, did yoga, worked out on my elliptical machine. I took a long, hot bath, then spent an hour slathering myself in lotion and walking about in my fave silk camisole and knickers set. It was brilliant. I could just do with more weekends like that.

I won't mention what else I did...

After my divorce, I couldn't stand how deafeningly quiet it was in my
apartment. I couldn't listen to music because of how many love songs the
radio had a tendency to play. My downstairs neighbor's washing machine
broke, so she asked if she could use mine. I said "sure" and gave her my
spare key. One night after returning from work, she and her son were in
my kitchen. Finally, there was SOUND in my apartment, and my
self-esteem kicked up a couple of notches.
