Is it just me, or is January pretty much a non-month? Christmas is over, New Years celebrations are done usually within 4 to 6 hours of January beginning (though this year mine were done in less than 3, as I spent the night alone - the other choice being to spend it with a bunch of couples and I did not fancy that - and I wasn't much in the mood for celebrating anyway.) and then...what's left? Pretty much nothing. Of course, I could be somewhat influenced on this - admittedly rather bleak - outlook of the month due to the fact that mine January has been incredibly boring. I have done nothing, or as good as. Other people seem to have done plenty though - just about every other person seems to be getting engaged at the moment - so maybe it IS just me after all. I hate not having anything to do! This time last year I was out with friends at least once a week, if not more. Unfortunately, my flatmate somehow - and I can't really give any further details, even if you did care, as I'm not entirely sure what happened - upset the vast majority of our mutual friends and, for some reason, they seem to be unable to distinguish between the two of us because now they want nothing to do with me either. And worse, he doesn't even care that he has caused so much trouble for me because he spends pretty much all of his time with his girlfriend anyway so it makes no difference to him. He's not the one with no social life anymore. So frustrating!
Okay, vent over. If I only ever give you one piece of advice though - and as I am not that smart, it is a distinct possibility - it would be this: do NOT live with an ex, no matter how much you think it will work at the time. It will not.
Lesson learnt.
