I was falling in love with my girlfriend when she was tragically raped. She shut herself in her parents’ place and stayed out of contact with me for completely understandable reasons, the main one being that she had gotten pregnant. I thought I had done something wrong and moved on to another woman when eight months later, she broke her sequester and turned up at a place we did volunteer work. I was stunned to see her condition, and then I heard her story for the first time. She wanted to get back together with me, but it was too late. She’s now been married to another guy for the last twenty years.
As for my ex-wife, I though I was in love with her, but that all turned out to be based on a lie
